ACHILIFUNK SOUND SYSTEM & THE GORDO DEL PURU 'CASIOPONY' (2018) You're about to taste another atomic prank from the Achilifunk factory. The second installment of the adventures of the Achilifunk Sound System with the Gordo del Puru at the microphone. Another episode of toxic rumba with impossible rap. The rapper has become philoitalian ballad and the rumba has given way to kinky. In our previous album 'xPeteneras' (Achilisound - PPF, 2017) we traced a path that led to the edge of a precipice. In this we have taken a step forward.

The Achilifunk concept (adding rumba to funk) was born in 2007 by 'Txarly Brown' (Illustrator, graphic designer and disc jockey) with the edition of the compilation album-book 'Achilifunk Gipsy Soul 1969-1979' (Lovemonk, 2007), followed by 'Más Achilifunk' (Lovemonk 2009) and the creation of the Achilifunk Band that released the album 'Gitano Real' (Lovemonk 2011). After that first stage he writes and designs 'Achilibook' (Ed. Milenio 2013) and with the intention of tracing the evolutionary line of the fusion between the Catalan rumba and the African-American dance music he creates with Jack Chakataga, Sam Mosketón and Lalo López the Achilifunk Sound System editing 'Robot Caló' (Achilisound, 2015), 'Disco Jondo' (Achilisound, 2016) and 'xPeteneras' (Achilisound, 2017).

From our previous experience, this album is equally shitty and sublime. We already verified it with the previous one. People either do not catch the humor of Gordo or understand everything. And obviously they are confused by the electronic rumba that surrounds it.
